Herbalife Scam - Does a Herbalife Scam Really Exist?

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Beware the Herbalife Scam! That is a phrase that many an aspiring entrepreneur will hear from a well meaning but ignorant relative or friend when starting up a home based business for the first time. The Herbalife scam is not a new phenomenon! The fact is that a ’scam’ of any kind has been around longer than Herbalife has even been around!

How can that be?

Well it is like this… Scams only exist in the minds of those who have not researched, investigated, probed and done due diligence or their homework on the subject that that they are interested in. It is true that there ARE scams that exist, but they are only scams AFTER you have been caught by them. Do you get what I mean? “It sounds too good to be true, then it probably is,” is not a scientific analysis and so your opinion should not be based on this conclusion. As Tim Sales once remarked… “If it is too good to be true then is that any reason to stop looking?”

The answer is ‘of course not!’

The phrase the Herbalife Scam is not just reserved for Herbalife… it is used to describe ANY product or service that you may be interested in where a relative or friend or salesman has a vested reason to provide you with that opinion.

You see, anything is a scam if I were to just come out and tell you that it is. And it does not take a rocket scientist to tell you those words either… “it’s a scam!” Any person can say that but it takes a real insider, a real go-to man, too know the real truth about whether something is a scam or not. In fact, scams have been around since man first decided he would trade his 1 camel for his neighbours 3 goats and the man who got the camel felt that he lost out in the exchange. Again… if you do your homework before joining or buying anything, whether it is a new home, a new car, a digital product or a calculator, you will not have that feeling that you have been taken and so you will not have been scammed. Sure, the Herbalife Scam DOES exist! It exists in the minds of those who believed that they could get something for nothing. It exists in the minds of those who would rather spend time complaining about where they are in life then actually doing something about it.

Spend 5 minutes complaining and you just wasted 5 minutes!

If a Herbalife Scam really existed then how come Herbalife has 29 years of business success, is in 70 countries, has 100 million documented testimonials, Nobel Prize winning scientists, more millionaires than any other company or organisation on earth, is the official sponsor of David Beckham and the L.A Galaxy, is Listed on The New York Stock Exchange, has nearly DOUBLED its turnover from US$2Billion in 2004 to US$3.8 in 2008 and is the “Number 1 Weight Loss Company In The World”?? I could go on and on but the point is that for anyone interested in ANY home based business opportunity then they must do their due diligence and homework before joining ANY company and ANY team. In the end there is no Herbalife Scam, only those who did not do their research and no matter what work from home business that you do join, your success will ALWAYS come down to 3 fundamental principles that will never change.

1). Marketing :- Without an effective marketing strategy and system in place you will not have a business.

2). Mindset :- To be truly successful at ANY business you MUST put yourself MENTALLY in the top 1% of the earners. You must think, talk, look and act like a leader.

3). Hard Work :- I never knew ANYBODY who got to be successful and didn’t have to work hard for it.

Herbalife Scam Business Review

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

Because of my extensive experience in both business and marketing, I am often asked my opinion of many companies and whether or not they are worth pursuing. One company that I have recently been asked about is the health and wellness company, Herbalife, and whether or not it is a scam. So I decided to conduct some research and provide an unbiased review.

Company:- Herbalife was founded in 1980 by Mark Hughes who started selling his products from the trunk of his car. Just two years later his company became international with annual sales reaching $1 billion. The company now employs over 3500 people, with over 240,000 distributors around the world.

Products:-The herbalife product line consists of a variety of nutritional and weight loss products.

Business:- This is where people start to become wary of the Herbalife Scam and whether or not that is the case. Herbalife is in fact a network marketing company and distributors sell the products and recruit people to join their team and build their business. Being a network marketing company in no way makes a company a scam but because many people in the company choose to market the business opportunity first and then the products, some people see that as a red flag to a scam. The other problem is that their business system relies heavily upon recruiting new people in order to make money so a person’s entire success in the company comes down to how large they are able to grow their downline.

Conclusion:- From what I can observe, Herbalife is not a scam, however there does appear to be much about it which would make making money with their system quite difficult. They do have great products, but if you are looking for a business which does not rely heavily on the constant recruiting of new team members to make money, I would suggest looking online for a marketing company which will teach you how to drive traffic to you and your website instead of vice versa; a much more effective way of building a business and making significant money online!

Healthy Weight Loss Tips

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Losing weight is never easy. It takes hard work and a new way of thinking. Perhaps you’ve tried one diet after another only to be disappointed by more weight gain. Fortunately, there are healthy ways to lose weight and keep it off. Use the healthy weight loss tips below to get started on the road to lifelong weight success. Get Creative with Your Diet Plan Think about your diet for a moment. Are strict regimen diets going to work when you’re so accustomed to eating what you want when you want? Do you have time and money to plan meals that require many ingredients that you’ve never even heard of? If not, then you probably won’t last long on many diet plans. When you determine that it’s time to lose weight, use the foods you already eat to your advantage - even the fattening ones. Don’t cut them out altogether, just eat smarter! Try eating your favorite items in smaller portions along with a new tasty food that’s healthy. For example, if your favorite meal is two cheeseburgers with fried potatoes, turn this into a healthier meal by eating only one cheeseburger, boil a potato for 45 minutes (tastes great with ketchup), and add a couple of vegetables such as green beans and corn to your meal. You’re actually getting more foods and adding good nutrition, but eating smaller portions of the fattening ones. The potatoes taste just as good boiled as they do fried but are much healthier! Add Protein-Rich Foods or Protein Shakes to Your Diet Another way to achieve healthy weight loss is to add protein-rich foods to your diet or drink protein shakes as snacks or replacement meals. There are even special diets and companies where you can get protein shakes customized for your body’s nutritional needs. Examples include the La Bamba diet, Shapeworks, Herbalife products, and so forth. With La Bamba Herbalife diets, you will use protein to get off extra pounds quickly. With other protein diets, you can drink protein shakes and take protein supplements for long-term dieting. It depends on your particular weight loss needs. Protein helps your body to burn the calories you eat throughout the day so your body does not continuously store fat in unwanted areas. Protein also helps build and preserve lean muscle mass. Drink Plenty of Water for Healthy Weight Loss Water is essential to a healthy weight loss plan. Water hydrates the body and organs. It gives you energy and helps you to fill full throughout the day. Water also helps your skin and cells. No matter what type of diet you choose, be sure to drink around six to eight glasses of water per day. The benefits of healthy weight loss are many: lower blood pressure, better figure, more energy, healthier heart and organs, less stress on bones, joints, and muscles, and less mental stress.

*Note: As with any diet plan, consult with a physician to be sure there are no health risks when trying a new diet. If you have health conditions that would prevent you from eating certain foods, then find a diet that will be safe for you. Use the tips above to take back control of your weight and live life to the fullest!

Herbalife Money Pit

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Heavy pressure to buy so called targeted leads has created a rumbling among some honest folks, who just want to have a successful business, and are following the direction of their upline at Herbalife. Interviews with several distributors in various levels of success, reveals many have a frustrated view of the so called perfect training plan offered by the company. The question reps are asking is “Who Is Making Money When I Buy Leads?”
Herbalife is still highly competitive in its field as far as the opportunity is concerned, but the methods it recommends to its distributors to achieve success appear less than desirable. The issue being raised about the high cost of these leads, seems to be casting a shadow over the network marketing giant. The economic downturn which has caused so many people to lose their jobs, has in turn created a surge in folks looking to run a legitimate home based business. Some misled individuals are going into thousands of dollars of debt just to get to World Team.
If you’re thinking about buying leads for your Herbalife business at all, there are some very basic but essential things to consider.

  1. How Much Does Each One Cost?
  2. How Fresh Are They?
  3. What Type of Leads Are They?
  4. What Action Did The Person Have To Take To Get On This List?
  5. How Many Times Has The Same List Been Sold To Other Reps?
  6. Have They Scrubbed Their Lead List With The Do Not Call Registry And Removed Restricted Names?
  7. What Are the Results Of Other Distributors That Have Bought Leads From The Same Source?

Let’s examine each of these points individually, so it is clear why these are important.

First, the cost of the lead must be considered. Herbalife is no different than any other marketing opportunity. It is all about numbers. A percentage of the names will become customers. As an Entrepreneur you should be figuring out the cost per lead, and then multiplying that by the number of leads it takes you on average to generate 1 customer. If that number is over 50% of the profit you would make by signing them up into your business that would be a major red flag. The goal is to get your leads as cheap as possible.

Is Pilates, a New Fitness Trend, Right for You? Is Pilates, a New Fitness Trend, Right for You?

Friday, December 25th, 2009

When you talk about joining a gym, the first thing that comes to mind is, “What kind of yoga or Pilates classes do they have there?  Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on stretching and balancing, in finding peace and in strengthening the body and muscles with bouncing, running, hopping, jumping or other vigorous forms of movements. Pilates is all about movements that help rejuvenate the mind and strengthen the body, while injecting vigor into your everyday life. For people who like aggressive movements, go for cardio activities or classes, like Steps, Dance, Combat or other forms of Les Milles types of programs.health3

For the rest of us, there’s always Pilates. And how do you know whether Pilates is right for you? Here  the answer¦

Pilates is perfect for those who have old sport injuries
For those of us who have preciously been physically or emotionally injured in one way or the other, Pilates can help nurse your wounds back into normalcy. Pilates is non-strenuous, therefore, it does not strain your muscles, joints, bones or other parts of your body. In Pilates, the most important thing is that you move slowly and stretch as far as YOU can go. Pilates is also suitable for children and the elderly. Unlike other types of cardiovascular programs, it does not, generally speaking, raise your heart rate to a point that you will faint.

Pilates is good for those who like challenges
Pilates, right now, probably sounds like a piece of cake to you. But in actual fact, it is not. It sounds so mild that many people think that it a walk in the park. But there a lot more to Pilates than meets the eye. Although youre not pushed beyond your own limit and you don’t need to bounce, hop, skip and run around in a mad frenzy, you’re going to be stretching every single muscle in your body and hold different positions for some time. This can be a challenge for most of us. Exceptions are made for those who are older, very young and the injured. For Pilates fans, we’re in for the challenge. If you take a look at some of the positions in Pilates, you’ll see what I mean.
